LG have now launched LG Optimus 3D, the first 3D smartphone in the UK, It’s available on pre-order on contract with most major carriers and you can sign-up for a SIM-free unit as well.
The lowest price comes from T-Mobile’s contract, which requires users to commit on a 2 years £25.54/month contract to get LG’s 3D screen equipped smartphone for free. Moreover, that plan also comes with 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited data per month. If you need more minutes and/or texts, or if you just don’t want to have T-Mobile as your operator for some reason, there are many other options.
Vodafone has it for £30/month for 18 months and Orange for £30/mo again but for 24 months (phone is free). O2’s 2-year contracts start at £32. There’s no info when the Optimus 3D will be available on any of these carriers.
The LG Optimus 3D has the 4.3” glasses-free 3D screen and the stereoscopic 3D Full HD video capture (from the 5MP dual-lens camera), the Optimus 3D also boasts a 3D-augmented reality browser and has partnered with YouTube for 3D video sharing, 8 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, 512 MB of RAM, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3D media playback, HDMI out, and a 1500 mAh battery. The LG Optimus 3D runs Android 2.2 Froyo, but we’re hoping LG will fix that quickly.
